S.A.S Locksmiths are proud long standing members of the Master Locksmiths Association of Australasia (MLAA), as well as the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL). 

Our company director, Steve Arias, has always played an active role in the Master Locksmiths Association by holding the position of Association President for a number of years and more recently, in 2013 was appointed the Western Australian Director of the Association. 

This role allows Steve to actively participate in numerous industry improvement programs, as well as play a critical role in assisting the training facilities and staff in providing quality professional training to future locksmiths.

Training & development awards

Since S.A.S Locksmiths started in 1989, we have actively assisted the industry by training and producing some of the best tradesman in the country through our detailed apprentice program and ongoing education skills training.

At the end of the 4 year apprenticeship, we encourage our apprentices to participate in the John Andrew Apprentice of the Year Award which is a competition hosted by the Master Locksmiths Association of Australasia and sponsored by two largest lock and key brands in the world.

In 2007 one of the apprentices from S.A.S Locksmiths competed in the competition and was able to achieve the highest test score in Western Australia and the third highest score in the country.

The following year in 2008, we again entered our apprentice in the competition and this time he managed to score the highest score in the country and win the prestigious award. This achievement is a testament to the education, training and skills acquired during the apprenticeship as S.A.S Locksmiths.
